INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION: OPTIMISSA LANDS IN MEXICO
Following the launch of a new office in Barcelona last year, Optimissa focuses now its expansion plan in LatAm. The firm’s international development started in 2013, when it opened its doors in London and New York. Our innovative philosophy continues to transcend borders with our newly-established presence in Mexico.
Our offices in Mexico City are located at the heart of the financial district, in order to be able to offer our solutions and experience to local firms. We are eager to become, in this market too, an ally for those organisations in the field to overcome their technology and business challenges.

We ensure the soundness of a growing presence in international markets by exporting our specialist know-how. The methodology we employ in all our branches has been successfully applied with our key clients, which include some of the most systemically important Spanish banks.
And it is precisely with one of our main clients in Spain that we are starting off our project in Mexico. We will collaborate with them in the creation and implementation of a Mexican branch, covering regulatory and technology elements, as well as certain aspects of the international integration between branches located in different countries. We are also beginning a collaboration agreement with Lumina Americas, specialists in the development of financial applications with which we have already completed a joint project in Europe. Optimissa will provide the capacity and specialised knowledge required to install Lumina’s solutions and provide ongoing maintenance.
Our aim is for the Mexican branch to act as a launcher in the region and become in the future a support centre for clients in close-by countries. We will expand our Intelligence Centre’s capacity significantly by cultivating a local pool of talent specialised in the key areas of financial markets. Thus, we will open a second business consultancy and software development hub adapted to the nuances and needs characteristic of LatAm. This extension of the Intelligence Centre will also allow us to provide 24 hour support worldwide through the processes of a follow-the-sun operational model.
